Each surfboard is hand shaped in the North East of England.  There is no better way to extract the best shape where curve and flow are valued above all else.  I can easily tune the shape to your style and ability of surfing.  We can delve as deep as you'd like into the details on things like rail shape, volume,  concaves and more to come up with just the right board for you.

My shapes are designed to work like a dream and go where you want on the wave. This is job number 1 for any board.  Next all the models are made for our waves.  Tynemouth, Saltburn, Thurso, Croyde, Freshwater West etc.   If you want that little bit extra from your board, get it from a quality local shaper.

The most eco board is the one that lasts and lasts.  As surfers, we can use a board for many years as long as we don't get bored of it.  All of the designs at buried surf are considered and contended with to be a magic board.

 I am always looking to make boards that last years not months.  Using 6oz fiberglass and wider cut laps help with this.  If you'd like an eco blank, eps, organic content resin, flax or s-glass, I'm well up to go on that journey with you and design a beautiful board in keeping with those materials. 

What should a longboard do for you?  First and foremost, a longboard will give you time.  Early paddle-in gives more time to pop up and drop a gorgeous fade into bottom turn.  If this is all you ever did on a surfboard, you are now surfing royalty.  Mission accomplished.  But if you still need more, longboards let you find subtlety and nuance in waves.  Opening up sections, surfing the pocket. Relax and wait for the wave to come to you.

Ideally, mid-length surfboards work best in bigger waves, go super fast and carve hard on the rail.  It's a joy to feel these boards load up through a turn at speed.  Take one out at a point break and settle into a rhythm of turns. 

 There is a shortboard design for every type of wave if you can paddle hard and pop up quick enough.  These range in from on-shore slop, barrels, burgers, reefs and beach breaks.  Volume is super important in the under 6'4 size range and we can work together to dial this in for you.
